The luxury cruise ship Nippon Maru has launched a new luxury cruise series called the “Nippon Maru Luxury”. The cruise offers an exclusive range of meals and entertainment, and the new offering is to limit the number of passengers on board and allow them to relax in all areas of the ship. The definition of “luxury” varies according to the person and the era. In order to explore the essence of the luxury experience offered by Nippon Maru, I embarked on a three-day cruise from Yokohama to visit Shimizu. Hope you enjoy my findings.

Coordinators who bring everyone together on the front lines of service

There are many crew members working on board the Nippon Maru. In this corner, we interview the crews and learn about the stories behind the scenes and their daily lives on board the cruise ship. In the Summer edition we interviewed a young crew member who is working as an assistant manager. I was impressed by his dedication and positive attitude toward his work, which I am sure it is quite a demanding job. Being a former soccer player, the spiritual strength he nurtured through his sports seem to reflect in his attitude towards his work life. Getting to know the personalities of the crews makes your cruise more enjoyable.
